Silver drachm, 20mm, 4.00gm, issued 70-57 BC. Rhagae mint.

Obv: Bearded bust left wearing tiara.

Rev: ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ ΕΥΕΡΓΕΤΟΥ ΕΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ, Archer seated right on throne, legend around.

Phraates III, son of King Sinatruces, was an ally of Lucullus and Pompey against Mithridates VI of Pontus. Phraates was killed by his sons Orodes II and Mithridates III, who took his kingdom.
