Obv: Ancus Marcius head to right, lituus behind.

Rev: PHILIPPVS AQVA MAR, Equestrian statue to right on an arcade of five arches, flower below horse.

The Marcia gens claimed descent from Ancus Marcius, the early King of Rome, who built the aqueduct depicted on the reverse.
