Bronze AE19, 19mm, 5.5gm, issued c. AD 42.

Obv: BACIAEΩC MIΘPAΔ[OY], Head of Mithridates right.

Rev: BI, Bow and quiver, lion's skin with club and trident.

Scarce in this condition.

Mithridates III was a direct descendant of Mithridates the Great through his mother Dynamis. He was overthrown by his half brother Cotys during the reign of Claudius.
