Silver denarius, 18mm, 3.03gm, issued AD 137. Rome mint.

Obv: L AELIVS CAESAR, Bare head facing right.

Rev: TR POT COS II (CONCORD in ex.), Concordia seated left on throne, holding patera, resting left elbow on cornucopiae on base.

Lucius Ceionius Commodus was consul in 136. He was adopted by Hadrian as his successor and renamed L. Aelius Caesar. Elegant and fond of luxury, he was a consumptive and died before Hadrian.
