Silver denarius, 19mm, 3.05gm, issued AD 218-220. Rome mint.

Obv: IVLIA MAESA AVG, Bare-headed, draped bust facing right.

Rev: PVDICITIA, Pudicitia seated left drawing out veil and holding sceptre.

Julia Maesa was the sister of the empress Julia Domna and engineered the accession of her young grandson Elagabalus to become emperor in AD 218.
