Silver denarius, 20mm, 3.63gm, issued AD 221 Rome mint.

Obv: M AVR ALEXANDER CAES, Bare-headed, draped bust right.

Rev: INDVLGENTIA AVG, Spes, draped, walking left, holding flower in right hand and raising skirt with left hand.

Very rare.

Issued under Elagabalus in the short period where Alexander had been (reluctantly) promoted to Caesar just before Elagabalus was murdered.
