Very poor example of rare and sought after coin.

Herod Antipas, the son of Herod the Great, ruled part of Judaea from 4 BC. He founded a new city, Tiberias, named in honour of the Emperor Tiberius. Antipas ordered the execution of John the Baptist at the request of his niece Herodias, and was involved in the trial of Jesus before being deposed in AD 39 by Caligula. His coins are rare and highly sought after by collectors of Biblical coins.
