Lucius Verus

L. Aurelius Verus

Dynasty: Adoptive and Antonine Dynasty

Augustus (AD 161-169)

Co-emperor with Marcus Aurelius, and the son of Aelius Caesar. Verus was married to Aurelius' eldest daughter Lucilla. When the war with Parthia broke out, Verus was given the command, at least nominally. He died of a stroke two years after the war was concluded
