Dynasty: Family of Theodosius

Augustus (AD 383-408)

Son of Theodosius I, he was appointed co Emperor by his father and after Theodosius died the empire was divided between Arcadius (in the East) and his younger brother Honorius (in the West). Arcadius died at the age of 31 after the empire had been ruled through a variety of intermediaries
